FunLab Bunny

Today was my last FunLab class and also the big exciting printing day. I had very low expectations from my print though I was curious to see how it turned out. I was really surprised when I saw she actually became quit nice. These past few weeks I worked in a program called Maya. Maya is a program which can make 3D objects. A 3D printer can actually make the Maya file into something physical. I never ever used Maya before and it was really hard to get used to the basics. The model in Maya was finally finished last week and was sent for printing. She is extremely fragile because she made out of plaster. I’m still trying to figure out a way to make it a little less breakable and maybe even paint able.

Painting roses white

I’m buried under tons of homework lately but so far I can manage with a strict schedule. Something I finished today is a Alice inspired painting. I had one last assignment for my task and I decided to make something I like for a change. For some reason the mad hatter kept haunting my mind today to keep me sane I guess. As you can see Tim Burton knocked out the old disney version right out of my mind XD. No more sweet colors just bloody roses painted white.

Tik Toc…

It has been a while since I posted anything. Today I’m in my second week of school. I’m starting to feel comfortable with the building and the people in it. One moment I’m enjoying my new life the next I feel like crap and wish I just could run from it all. I think its because I have to change a lot mentally. Things like homework, thinking in a whole new and different way than I’m used to. Either way I’m still doing my best to keep up with class. I still have a few month to think this over.

As for any new works; I made a few weeks ago a clock for my sweet boyfriend his birthday! I just can’t stop using this type of handwork. It looks so much better than coloring the drawing or photoshopping it. I think I spend to days on it. One day making the figures, the other day for sticking everything together. I am so glad my grandma gave me once this handy tool to make perfect circles so that saved me a whole lot of trouble and paper.

work, work, work!

I got some fancy new things to show. I got crazily inspired by some artist who made little portraits of people with paper cuts. Like dressing up a a flat doll she works with different layers for clothes and body parts that are closer to the viewer to give it more depth. So I decided to get started and use different textures to give it an more interesting feel. The textures I use are originally for scrapbooking. I still need to make the background and glue the entire thing in a photo frame. The hollow back of a blank canvas will function as frame.
( I need to get some English lessons, all the words seem to have scattered here and there in my brain and since it’s chaos already I can’t seem to find the right words. Imagine this, your car gets stolen and you know it has to be somewhere in the traffic jam and you search the entire jam for your sweet ugly-yellow-duckling car. Nevermind… -__-’ )
