Yummy Cream

On the second image you can see the sketch version of the first one. It’s a small doodle made in my moleskine. I wanted to color her without lines, so this is the end result. A small new beginning of a new way of drawing. It’s scary but also a lot of fun to draw so differently.

A few days ago it was Ascension of Jesus or in dutch hemelvaartsdag. In short this is the same day roughly 2000 years ago, when Jesus went to heaven. My, my isn’t that interesting? Yes it is! Defiantly when it means every store in the country is closed except the big companies who like to earn some extra money with people who seem to be bored of sitting still. I was one of those people who made those working people happy since I bought an expensive goody that day. I’m now the proud owner of a mac and I curse the same time since I’ve been brainwashed by Microsoft and now I’m having trouble to understand the apple way of thinking. So now I’m thinking about apples and apple trees these days. I don’t mind since I’ve fallen in love with the system and I can use itunes the way it was meant to be used. (since it used to trouble me on my normal pc)

I worked on a birthday card for a very good friend of mine and I was very pleased with the outcome. Same style as the frame I made a few weeks ago, only this time flat without any 3D feel in it. See the (crappy) photo’s to get an idea on how it looked like. I drew the card first and then cut the colors one by one. The background is a print on its own (the trees/garden). So for the record, I didn’t make that part. Scrapbook stuff are art on its own. I’m only combining the prints together but the figures are completely my own creation. Not only the front was covered in color, I also decorated the back and inside of the card.
My dummy isn’t getting that full at the moment but I have a start and I have enough ideas at the moment. So I won’t be bored the next few (hours/) days.

I bought some gems today. The plan was to buy gems as in expensive-extremely-blinding-gems. But I realized the glue would ruin it’s shine so I bought fake ones and not because I can’t afford such shiny elegant thingies. (cough!)

Anyways, enough joking. Yesterday was a really serious matter. I finally had the guts to send in my information to the school I want to apply to. *proud* Well that’s a lie to, my boyfriend gave the extra push since I let the envelop balance on being send away or getting ripped if I change my mind. At first I looked quit shocked at him but then I realized I cut my time in half of creating my portfolio so now I looked horrified. I wanted to turn around and run back home to satisfy the extreme urge to draw until my fingers would give up on me because of cramps. But to add some drama, I had to go to work. And now I’m 24 hours further with no attempt to get started at all.

As for the mask; posting photo’s asap since I don’t have daylight to capture it extra shiny!!! *sparkly eyes*
